What is the difference between land clearing and site preparation?

Land clearing removes what is on the ground: brush, cedar, trees and debris. Site preparation shapes the ground itself, grading and compacting it into a level, stable surface for a driveway, a pad or a building. Many projects need both, starting with land clearing in Burnet and finishing with site preparation.

Which fence is best for cattle, goats or horses?

It depends on the animals. Cattle are commonly held with barbed wire or high-tension fence, goats and sheep need tighter woven wire that they cannot slip through or climb, and horses do well with highly visible pipe or smooth fence. Our ranch fencing page covers each option in more detail.

Can you add an automatic opener to a gate I already have?

Often, yes. An existing gate can usually take an opener if it swings freely, hangs level and is strong enough for the motor. We check the gate, the posts and the power options on site first. Our gate opener installation page explains the systems we install.

Do you build cattle guards?

Yes. We install cattle guards at ranch entrances and pasture crossings so vehicles can pass without opening a gate while livestock stay in. Placement, the base underneath and how the guard ties into the fence on each side all matter, and we plan them with the entry. See our custom gates page.

Cost and Timing

How Much Does Land Clearing Cost, and Other Pricing Questions

How much does land clearing cost?

Land clearing cost depends on the acreage, how dense the cedar and brush are, the size of the trees, the terrain and rock, and whether debris is hauled away. Two lots of the same size can price very differently. A free estimate on site is the only way to give an accurate number for your property.

How much does a pipe fence cost?

A pipe fence is priced by the length of the run, the pipe size, the post spacing, the number of rails, the terrain and any gates included. Painting and decorative details add to the cost. We measure the line and look at the ground during a free estimate, then price the fence from what we see.

How long does a metal building take to build?

The timeline depends on the building size, the site and the materials. A prepared, level pad shortens the schedule, while clearing and grading first add time at the start. Weather also plays a part. We give you a realistic schedule for your specific building when we provide the estimate.

Are estimates really free?

Yes. We do not charge to come out, walk the property and price the work. The estimate visit is where we see the ground, the brush and the access, ask how you plan to use the property and give you a clear price based on what is actually there.

Scheduling

Questions About Scheduling and Hours

What are your business hours?

We are open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and closed on Saturday and Sunday. Call (512) 715-2706 during those hours to talk with our team. The form on our contact page can be sent at any time, and we follow up during business hours.

How do I schedule an estimate?

Call (512) 715-2706 or use the form on our contact page. Tell us where the property is and what work you are considering, and we will set a time to visit. Having a rough idea of fence lines, the area to clear or the building size helps us prepare for the visit.

Do I need to be there for the estimate?

It helps. Walking the property together lets you point out property lines, gate locations, where animals will run and where a building should sit. If you cannot be on site, we can talk through the details by phone before and after the visit and still give you a complete estimate.

What areas do you serve?

We are based in Burnet and serve Central Texas, including Marble Falls, Lampasas, Liberty Hill, Georgetown, Killeen and Austin, along with the towns around them. Our service areas page lists every community we cover. If your property is close to that list, call and ask.

Do you work on rural property with no road access?

We work on plenty of rural acreage, including properties reached by ranch roads and unimproved drives. Access does affect what equipment can reach the site, so we look at the entrance, the terrain and any low-water crossings during the estimate and plan the work around them.
